Guido "goccia" Gonzato's Home Page

Hello everybody. My name is Guido Gonzato, I live in Verona, Italy. I graduated in Earth Sciences at University of Bologna where I later obtained my Ph.D. in Geophysics. My main interests are geology, music, caving and mountain hiking, and a bit of computer science.

Even though geology is not my main job, I do some geology research in the hills and mountains around Verona. I'm also adjunct professor of geology at University of Verona.

For most of my career, I worked as a Unix/GNU Linux system administrator. Needless to say, as many knowledgeable computer users I prefer to work with GNU/Linux (this distro) and Free and Open Source Software. Amongst my favourites pieces of software are LaTeX, QGIS, and ABC-related tools.
